ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

This position is based in our field sub-office in Ampanihy. The incumbent will be under the supervision of the head of the field office or the logistics charge in the field office.

At this level, the incumbent should take responsibility for completing a range of processes and activities requiring some interpretation of the guidelines / standard practices for all WFP assistance modalities and common logistics services. The incumbent must be able to recommend an action plan to staff at various levels and must be able to allocate tasks to other support employees.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POST

Implement well-defined standardized logistics / supply chain processes and activities to enable efficient delivery of goods and services for all delivery methods

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ( not exhaustive )

Support logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, effective delivery of food aid to beneficiaries.

Support the timely scheduling and delivery of products and deliveries to authorized partners and destinations.

Support the management of logistics supplier procurement activities, including monitoring and measuring performance.

Respond to a variety of technical requests / requests for support, following standard processes, and obtain advice, if necessary, to ensure rapid and precise resolution of all requests with a high level of positive customer service advice.

Contribute to the preparation, monitoring and revision of the budget for all delivery methods, ensuring compliance with the relevant procedures and respecting company standards.

Help monitor inventory management processes to monitor trends and take into account the state of source stocks to the beneficiary.

Help manage the quality and integrity of commodity accounting data.

Support analyzes of operational pipelines, evaluations and operational planning of all delivery methods.

Process documentation relating to the execution of logistics operations ( p. Ex., Customs clearance, invoice verification ), take the appropriate measures to resolve operational problems, by raising various questions to the supervisor.

Collect and compile data, produce and / or contribute to ( p reports. Ex., CCTI, SPR, financial closure, physical inventory, transport performance ) and ensuring the accuracy of information in organizational systems to support clear decision-making.

Liaise with an internal and limited number of external stakeholders to support effective management of logistics operations.

Provide advice to other support staff to help them complete standard tasks in accordance with agreed standards and deadlines.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable

Language:

Master of French. Knowledge of English would be an asset

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POST

  •  Experience using business systems to monitor current shipments, pipeline information, claims and food stocks.
  •  Experience in data analysis ( on raw materials, funds, etc. ) and writing of reports.
  •  Experience in measuring the performance of service providers compared to established PKIs.
  •  Experience in helping to prepare contractual documentation.
  •  Experience in technical support for businesses in business systems.
