POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Under the supervision of the HQ MEAL Manager, the HQ Learning & Knowledge management Specialist is an expert in charge of defining HI’s institutional frameworks in terms of continuous learning and knowledge management. To do this, he/she develops frameworks and methodologies to facilitate the emergence, formalization and sharing of knowledge within HI, and supports teams in their deployment. He/she contributes to the quality of projects by strengthening the learning and continuous improvement process in the field and at headquarters. He/she is responsible for developing, improving and promoting learning frameworks, promoting an internal culture of continuous learning, and ensuring that robust knowledge management systems are in place. He/she is responsible for providing expertise and supporting the MEAL/IM, operational and technical teams in the implementation and compliance with these frameworks. He/she ensures that developments in the sector on the theme are taken into account.

On the other hand, as a member of the Innovation, Impact, Information department, he/she is able to represent the department in its diversity of expertise and refer to other specialists when necessary.

Mission 1: Strategy and management

Contribute to the strategy of the 3i department and the MEAL unit

Mission 2: Standards and expertise
Define the framework and methodologies inherent to continuous learning and knowledge management

Contribute to the improvement of MEAL/IM know-how through the development of a continuous learning approach

Mission 3: Operational implementation

Supports headquarters and field teams in the emergence, structuring, formalization and appropriation of their knowledge and practices

Coordinates publication projects within the 10 existing collections

With the support of other specialists from the MEAL unit and the IM unit, provides technical and methodological support across the entire MEAL/IM scope to field MEAL managers in a geographical area

Mission 4: Skills Development and Management

Support and train MEAL/IM, operational and technical teams (or partners) in the implementation of learning and knowledge management systems

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • You have a degree in human sciences, project management or humanitarian and development management;
  • You have at least 2 years of field experience, with significant MEAL experience as well as in the humanitarian and development sector;
  • You master the project cycle, knowledge management, as well as capitalization and learning tools;
  • You know the editorial processes;
  • Able to organize and lead workshops, working groups and training, you have good team spirit, pedagogy and organization.
  • You have good analysis, synthesis and writing skills, both in French and English.

ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:

The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). Car parking and a bicycle park are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators guarantee better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Space but boxes are available on each floor to work in peace if necessary. The work space is very bright.
