INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Area: Direction – IPD

Type of employment: Fixed term – Maternity replacement

Expected entry date: November 2024

GOALS:

  • Manage the Institutional Partnership Development (IPD) unit responsible for the acquisition and proper economic and financial management of projects funded by institutional bodies, both for domestic and international projects, and coordinate the annual and multi-year development strategy;
  • Manage and develop new strategic partnerships with institutional donors/foundations and other stakeholders;
  • Leading and facilitating sustainable and quality design.

ACTIVITY’:

  • Ensure the implementation of the annual fundraising plan and the achievement of the quantitative and qualitative objectives set;
  • Promote and maintain partnership relationships with institutions and other partners that are functional to the development of project initiatives, in Italy and abroad;
  • Identify and evaluate possible national and international calls also in collaboration with the different Areas of the organization and with the Member Associations and the International Secretariat of SOS Children’s Villages;
  • Formulate project proposals in accordance with specific funding lines, donors, or national and international calls, ensuring the quality of the project proposals and with the aim of contributing to the implementation of the various programmatic priorities through the use of institutional funds;
  • Share with the various internal and external stakeholders useful information and data (needs analysis, Unit strategies, etc.) necessary for project development and activity monitoring;
  • Lead, support and manage the unit’s resources, with a view to quality implementation of institutional projects throughout the entire project cycle;
  • Represent the Organization in national and international networks and meetings, both internal and external to the Federation of SOS Children’s Villages;
  • Manage the IPD budget, monitor and verify the achievement of results;
  • Formulate, manage and monitor the functional process of IPD and ensure the updating of information flows and data relating to ongoing projects;
  • Manage internal stakeholder training;
  • Participate in projects indicated by the Management and according to the objectives of the annual individual plan.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 7 years of experience in similar roles.
  • C2 knowledge of English and Italian, knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the main Italian and global institutional donors (AICS, Ministry of the Interior, European Commission, Cariplo Foundation, etc.).
  • Demonstrable prior experience in institutional funding acquisition.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in managing a team.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in managing institutional projects, including the economic-financial field.
