Background:

For more than half a century, UNICEF‟s goodwill ambassadors and celebrity supporters have helped to protect the rights and improve the lives of children and women around the world. By creating public awareness of children’s issues and helping to mobilize resources, the celebrities who work with us send a clear message that children are a priority.

With growing importance of digital channels, UNICEF Ukraine is further strengthening its digital outreach and engagement of digital influencers to respond to global shifts in the fields of communication, fundraising, advocacy and development. Effective use of digital channels for communication of UNICEF’s key messages, through relevant content, experience and dialogue, allow individuals to connect directly with other individuals or groups, as well as brands and organizations, thus creating valuable relationships with both online and offline supporters. Use of digital media platforms helps to position UNICEF Ukraine as a knowledge leader, expands outreach and broadens engagement around children’s rights.

UNICEF Ukraine seeks an influencer marketing consultant to harness the power of social media and engage in a meaningful way bloggers, influencers and opinion leaders on various social media platforms in order to amplify UNICEF`s digital footprint and messages from social media campaigns and reach out to wider public on social media.

Purpose of assignment:

The Influencer Marketing Consultant will be responsible for maintaining celebrities/influencers database, coordinating celebrities’ outreach and engagement and thus sparking digital conversation around UNICEF topics to various types of audiences.

She/he will help plan and implement part of UNICEF` strategic communication and advocacy plan related to integration of influencers marketing, reaching out to bloggers, building and maintain meaningful partnership with them to forge UNICEF brand and visibility.

His/her role will be critical for identifying and securing several high-profile partnerships in 2023/2024. The Consultant will help to build and sustain the most effective and strategic relationships with celebrity ambassadors and supporters, as well as help to harmonize the celebrity partnerships with the UNICEF global guidelines and recommendations

Working under the supervision of the Communication Specialist, Influencers marketing consultant will ensure timely, accurate and effective engagement of Ukrainian bloggers, celebrities and opinion leaders and integration of digital marketing perspective into UNICEF` strategic priorities.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) inCommunication, Journalism, Marketing, International Relations, Public Relations, Political Science or related field.

Professional experience: 3+ years’ experience working on influencers marketing, celebrities’ engagement and campaigns promotion for a digital agency, NGO, private sector company, media outlet or related field. Previous experience in a creative agency/ marketing department of a company will be an asset. Experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, fundraising activities with high profile celebrities and opinion leaders Proven skills in communication, networking, strategic thinking, advocacy, negotiation, and ability to relate to a young audience.

Language:

  •  Ukrainian: Proficient/Native [C2];
  •  English: Upper-intermediate [B2].

Skills and competencies: Excellent writing and communication skills in Ukrainian and a good command of English. Ability to work independently, tackle demanding goals and produce timely results and good quality of work. Adept at using a wide range of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, Telegram, Likee, TikTok, etc. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities within specified timeframes.

Please provide an all-inclusive financial proposal including travels to carry out the deliverables listed above.

i Costs indicated are estimated. Final rate shall follow the “best value for money” principle, i.e., achieving the desired outcome at the lowest possible fee. Consultants will be asked to stipulate all-inclusive fees, including lump sum travel and subsistence costs, as applicable.

Payment of professional fees will be based on submission of agreed deliverables. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment in case the deliverables submitted are not up to the required standard or in case of delays in submitting the deliverables on the part of the consultant.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
