Overview of position:
This position is based in Abyei. The ICT Project Support reports to the Chief of Facilities & Environmental Management unit primarily involves in administrative & budgetary function of the unit.
Role objectives:
Within the delegated authority from the Chief of Facilities & Environmental Management unit the ICT Project Support will be responsible for the following duties:
Operations:
Oversee & maintain biometric data systems for the camp management services contractor.
Analyze biometric data trends & system performance to identify gaps & enhance contractor access control policies.
Collect data from commindware work orders & analyze trends to provide valuable insights for workflow improvements.
Analyze Field Report Infrastructure Management (FRIM) data to identify infrastructure related patterns & improvements.
Create data visualizations to monitor water & electricity consumption trends & identify areas of potential resource savings.
Utilize data visualization tools to translate complex information into clear formats for non technical stakeholders.
Offer data driven recommendations to improve work order management, facilitate proactive planning & ensure optimal resource consumption.
Planning:
Assists with the preparation of cost estimates & budget proposals.
Assist with the review in ensuring the efficient & effective use of budgetary resources through robust monitoring of budget utilization to the approved budget.
Assists with the preparation of budget performance reports for the mission, ensuring that correct & accurate data/information is provided.
Supports the office in the preparation of the unit’s work plan & risk assessment.
Administration:
Supports the administration in ensuring compliance with regulations, rules & established policies & procedures.
Advises staff on relevant rules & regulations & coordinates the induction & orientation of new staff members in the section / office.
Draft correspondence & communications.
Processes incoming / outgoing inter office memo.
Reviews & verifies that appropriate relevant supporting documents have been provided for the processing of payments for goods & services received.
Keep records from all engineering projects, progress reports, performance reports & related POs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Project reporting:
This role reports to the Chief of Facilities & Environmental Management unit.
Key competencies:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Supplementary courses or additional training in administration, human resources, finance or other related field is desirable.
A minimum of five years of experience in the field of administrative services, finance, accounting, human resources, audit or in other related fields is required.
Two years of work experience at the international level is desirable.
Experience providing logistics & supply chain support services in a volatile, conflict or post conflict environment is desirable.
Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or similar in the areas of scheduling, inventory control, procurement &/ o r logistics processes is desirable.
For the post advertised, fluency in English is required.
Thorough technical knowledge of different waste management solutions, including on hazardous waste, ability to simplify complex information & communicate such information to less technically trained team members.
Good adaptability skills to find creative solutions depending on contexts.
