Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of the position is to provide quality support to the talent management team in UNICC, specifically reinforcing the Talent Acquisition area.

Objectives of the Programme:

The objective of the Centre is to provide trusted ICT services and digital business solutions to its Clients and Partner Organizations.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Human Resources Officer (MSHT) within the Management & Strategy Division (MS) and in close collaboration with the Human Resources teams. The incumbent could be requested to do any other tasks of similar level in related fields.

  • Assist in drafting compelling vacancy notices, efficiently screen applications, organize interview panels, and provide hands-on support during interviews. Ensure seamless finalization of candidate selection and communicate outcomes to candidates promptly
  • Offer high-quality assistance throughout the entire selection process, including coordinating timelines in collaboration with the Human Resources Officer. Support hiring managers and ensure a streamlined, efficient workflow from start to finish
  • Support the selection process using dedicated tools and technologies such as pre-screening interviews, dedicated recruiter licenses and job boards
  • Conduct proactive outreach activities, including cold approach, headhunting and campaigning adhering to the Unit’s best practices to attract top talent
  • Under the guidance of the Human Resources Officer, identify, analyse and provide recommendation on innovative Talent Acquisition channels that align with organizational needs
  • Support the Human Resources Officer in the enhancement of Talent Acquisition agreements with third party organizations, such as academic institutions or non-profit organizations, to expand recruitment reach and impact

Recruitment Profile

Experience and Skills required:

Essential:

  • Three (3) years of experience in the area of Human Resources, particularly in Talent Acquisition activities. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards minimum work experience requirements
  • Proven experience in candidate outreach and headhunting, using dedicated job boards, recruiting licenses or similar tools and technologies
  • Proven experience in the assessment and detection of suitable candidate profiles through analysis of documentation
  • Proven knowledge in analysing and interpreting human resources policies, procedures and practices
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an HR department within an International Organization
  • Experience as an interviewer, following a competency-based interview model
  • Proven experience in the assessment and detection of IT profiles

Education:

Essential:

  • Completion of secondary school diploma

Desirable:

  • Certification in Human Resources Management or similar areas, such as Law, Psychology or Business Administration

Languages:

  • English: Expert knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of the local language of the Duty Station is an advantage

Eligibility:

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. A staff member subject to local recruitment shall not be eligible for the allowances or benefits exclusively applicable to international recruitment.

Compensation:

Annual Salary Estimation (net of tax at single rate):

  • Valencia, Spain: EUR 38,398
