What we are looking for
NRC is looking for a Health, Safety, and Security Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will ensure compliance with NRC’s Health, Safety, and Security minimum standards and reduce the overall risk on NRC operations by developing strategies, plans, and procedures, and providing mitigation measures for safe and secure program access. The Health, Safety, and Security Manager will also coordinate and conduct mandatory and other tailored training courses for the country and area offices.

What you will do
- Health, Safety, and Security Risk Management System implementation.
- Security Risk Analysis oversight.
- Strategic advice provision to the country management team, based on contextual changes.
- Health, Safety, and Security documents and procedures,including strategy and budget, development and maintenance.
- Health, Safety, and Security Risk Management oversight and support, for staff, assets, and organisational reputation.
- Security staff management and leadership.
- Support, training, control, and development of staff.
What you will bring
- Senior manage experience in a humanitarian and/or recovery context.
- Civilian and military interlocutors exposure.
- Crisis management track record.
- Complex and volatile context exposure.
- English fluency, both written and verbal.

What we offer
- Yangon, Myanmar duty station, subject to receiving appropriate documentation. Currently, international visas and work permits are subject to considerable delays. The successful candidate will be expected to work from home/remotely for extended periods of time.
- 12-month contract duration.
- 40% travel, approximately.
- Grade 9 in NRC’s Salary Scale, with accompanying terms and conditions. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
