Health in Detention Consultant (for Philippines Nationals Only) At International Committee of the Red Cross


SCOPE OF WORK

  • Support to Policy Review and Revision
  • Coordinate with detention stakeholders to conduct policy audit and provide recommendations in policy revision.
  • Advises on the drafting of operational guidelines linked to national policy for health in detention.
  • Undertake other Health in Detention tasks related to policy review and revision as discussed with the Health Program Responsible and Detention Doctor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Policy analysis and recommendation for three (3) institutional policies.
  • Draft, revision, and final copy of two (2) Policies.
  • Draft operational guidelines linked to draft national policy.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • At least 7 years’ experience in the Health Sciences/ Public Health/ Health Policy and other relevant areas. Relevant ongoing doctorate degree is an asset.
  • Background in Health in Detention key issues. Familiarity to Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Health Service and the detention system.
  • Relevant experience in health policy review and writing. Experience in writing service delivery and operations manuals an asset.
  • Above average computer skills in MS Office.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English and Tagalog
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, contributes to effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrates professional competence and is conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines, and achieving results.
  • Display cultural, gender, religious, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
