Location: The Grange University Hospital, Llanfrechfa Grange, Caerleon Road, Cwmbr�n NP44 8YN
Type of contract: Fixed Period Until 31 March 2025
Hours per week: 22
Salary: �20,405 per annum pro-rata

You will be based in the fast paced Emergency Department, providing care to patients and their families. You will undertake non-medical tasks to free up the medical staff. This will enable them to focus on their clinical role while you make the patient’s stay as relaxed as possible.
A day in the life of a Support Worker:

You will escort patients to assigned departments.
You will collect prescriptions to speed up their release.
You will assist in delivering meals and ensure that patients have food/drink when waiting for long hours.
You will drive patients home after discharge, ensuring they are safely settled.
You will refer patients to other sources of support in their area.

Please note that this service runs Monday to Sunday between 10am and 10pm, including bank holidays.
To be a successful Support Worker:

Do you know how to improve service quality for the benefit of users? Can you deal with inquiries in a discreet manner?
Do you have a good knowledge of services provided by the NHS and Social Care?
Are you IT literate?
Do you have a full UK driving license which allows you to drive a manual transmission vehicle?
