Focus on our activities in the DRC

Our mission in the DRC has existed since 2001. PUI is developing its integrated approach with primary health and malnutrition control projects. PUI is involved in Ituri with health and nutrition projects, and in North Kivu through an integrated approach in emergency health and nutrition supplemented by food security activities.

And what about the Grants Officer in all this?

As Grants Officer, you will be responsible for managing donor deadlines related to programs, internal and external communication on the mission and will support the Deputy Head of Mission for programs in their daily tasks, particularly in writing intervention proposals.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Programs: You will support the drafting and formulation of project proposals, as well as the substantive and formal revision of donor reports.
  • Communication/Information: You will develop internal and external communication documents and participate in communication working groups.
  • Representation: You will participate in external coordination meetings.

The challenges that await you:

The major challenges of the Grants Officer position are: 1) Contribute autonomously and rigorously to the coordination and development of qualitative project reports 2) Contribute proactively to the proper compliance of projects with the contractual obligations of the mission 3) Contribute to the digital archiving of contractual and non-contractual program documents

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Training : You can demonstrate a higher degree (Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to project management.
  • Experience : You have prior experience in the international solidarity sector, ideally including at least six months in project management. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!
  • Skills : You have excellent writing skills and knowledge of the rules of the main institutional donors (ECHO, EuropeAid, UN, OFDA, etc.).
  • Required qualities : You have a sense of responsibility, are autonomous and proactive. You demonstrate good analytical skills, are a good communicator, both in writing and orally, and know how to manage priorities well. You demonstrate organization, rigor, flexibility, and good resistance to stress.
  • Languages : Do you speak French and English like the back of your hand? Great, it’s essential for this position! If you also speak Arabic, that would be a definite asset.

PUI will offer you

  • Status: Fixed-term contract employee
  • Gross monthly salary: 2,050.00 – 2,270.00 EUR depending on your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical and supplementary health coverage, 24-hour assistance, repatriation and pension provision

  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Break scheme: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months of mission + break bonus
