INCHARGE

Within the Finance Division and in relation to the approved internal funding strategy, the Grant Management Expert (International Programs – New Business Development) has the task of ensuring the correct application of the Save the Children guidelines and grant donors, (institutions, foundations and companies), in support of the New Businsess Development area of International Programs, for the assigned areas.

MAIN ACTIVITIES ’ / RESPONSIBILITY ’

  • Support the accreditation process of Save the Children Italia with strategic grant donors through applications, self assessment and/o portals and ensure the retrieval of the required documents within the set deadlines and the correctness of the documentation presented;
  • Support the process of writing new grant proposals for institutional donors related to the International Programs Division, in the preparation and control of budgets and in the collection of all documents and declarations required by call for proposal, ensuring compliance and eligibility with the guidelines of the main donors and internal policies of Save the Children;
  • Carry out training on compliance and financial management to the staff and partners involved in the development of the proposal grants of international programs, relating to donor guidelines and Save the Children;
  • Participation in the process of strengthening knowledge of the guidelines and procedures of the grant donors of the Country Offices also with missions in the countries of intervention;
  • Carry out analysis and study of the guidelines of assigned grant donors, participation in specific training by donors on processes and procedures, drafting and updating of internal guidelines with respect to donor compliance;
  • Ensure the continuous updating and alignment of the operating systems (Award Management System and Agresso) with reference to the grant skills and the Cost Allocation Methodology of Save the Children;
  • Coordination of the vetting and audit process by grant donors and international partners in Save the Childern ensuring the retrieval of the required documents within the set deadlines and the correctness of the documentation presented;
  • Support to the International Programs Directorate on the development of the institutional funding strategy and in the management of relations with the main institutional donors;

Other responsibilities:

  • Support to the International Programs Department for the development and updating of internal guidelines and policies relating to the management of the main institutional donors;
  • Support to the Finance division with reference to planning, budget and control activities, as well as the preparation of the financial statements, as part of its activities.

EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum experience of 4 years, in the context of non-profit, in the financial management of projects financed by institutional donors, budgeting, reporting and auditing
  • Excellent knowledge of the management and reporting procedures and guidelines of the main institutional donors
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Italian, written and oral
