Fundraising Assistant (m / f / d) At Malteser International


Malteser International (MI) is the international humanitarian agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta. To support and further develop our worldwide fundraising, we are looking for a fundraising assistant at our headquarters in Cologne.

As a fundraising assistant, you support the implementation of Malteser International’s fundraising strategy. This includes the organization of fundraising events in Germany and Europe, the content of fundraising campaigns and the administrative support of the Global Lead Philanthropy. With this exciting task in a new and growing team, you have the opportunity to expand your fundraising expertise and shape the future of fundraising at Malteser International. This also includes the preparation of events for the “20 Years of Malteser International” anniversary next year.

Your tasks:

  • Preparation of content for fundraising campaigns using the content of the operational teams for Malteser International’s worldwide projects
  • Writing and producing fundraising materials for donors with a targeted interest in certain projects
  • Organization and management of fundraising events in Germany and, if possible, throughout Europe
  • Support in the development of a plan for the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of Malteser International in 2025 including event planning and fundraising campaign
  • Support for the administrative tasks of the fundraising team and the Global Lead Philanthropy

Your profile:

  • Studied or trained in event management, fundraising or other relevant area
  • Proven skills in event management and in organizing large events with a variety of contacts
  • Experience in dealing with IT solutions for the creation of marketing material, organization of travel and management of donors
  • Very well organized, structured and independent way of working combined with high flexibility and adaptability to different contexts and people
  • Very good communication skills in German and English, other languages (French, Spanish) are an advantage
