Offer description
Within the Operations Directorate, and under the supervision of the/the Director/trice of Operations, the/the Director/regionaltrice/e is responsible for all the operations for the Country Offices under his responsibility -’ Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Togo-Benin (grouped under a single Bureau), Chad-Cameroon (grouped under a single Bureau).
In particular, the Regional Director/trice/e is the/the guarantor/e of the humanitarian relevance of the operations, their security, their good management in compliance with IS standards, etc, and their financing, and in particular the maintenance of good relations with the donors. The/the Director/regional director/e also participates in the’ orientation of the Global SI strategy.
The/the Regional Director/trice/e is also a key player in the influence and reputation of SI, and contributes to the testimony as well as’au advocacy of SI. As such, he/she proactively participates in meetings, forums, common positions, testimonies and other external events concerning the countries under his responsibility.
The position is articulated around 7 main pillars : Strategy and annual planning ; Representation and partner relations ; Awareness, Advocacy and Testimonials ; Security Management ; and ; Communication and reporting between countries and headquarters; management management of its headquarters and field teams and Project coordination and monitoring ;
Your profile
- Experience as Country Director/Mission Manager for a minimum of 2 years is essential
- At least 5 years of’ experience in Country Coordination positions (Land Coordinator, Program Coordinator etc..).
- Knowledge and field experiences on at least one, and preferably two, of the contexts covered by the position are welcome
- An experience within’a seat is welcome
- Proven experience in security management, and crisis management
- Representation capacity (in the field or at headquarters)
- In-depth knowledge of the challenges of the humanitarian sector essential
- Experience of management essential
- Proven capacity of design, of’writing and of fund raising with the humanitarian donors
- Bilingual French /English required.
IF will offer you the following conditions
Contract nature
CDD contract, 18 months. Contract until’au 31/05/2026
Remuneration
Remuneration according to profile and location of the position.
Advantages :
Position exercised from Metropolitan France : Possibility of telework: 4, 12 days a month or 100%, in accordance with the Telework Charter in force and the manager (monthly fee paid for the 100% TT modality) ; Mutual support at 80% ; Title restaurant supported at 60% ; Transport Ile de France supported at 50% ;
Post outside Metropolitan France : Per Diem ; Holidays : During the mission, a system of alternation between work and leave is set up at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with USD 850 allocated by Solidarities International). In addition to these break periods, there is one additional day of rest per month worked. ; Social and medical coverage : Expatriates receive insurance that reimburses all health costs (including medical and surgical expenses, dental and ophthalmological care, etc, repatriation) and a contingency system including war risks. Vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are reimbursed.
