WHAT WE DO …
INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY (SI) is an association of’international humanitarian aid which, for more than 40 years, has been
assistance to populations affected by armed conflict and natural disasters by meeting vital needs, drinking, eating, sheltering. Particularly engaged in the fight against diseases related to unhealthy’, the leading cause of death in the world, SI implements through its interventions an expertise in the field of’access to drinking’water,’sanitation and the promotion of hygiene but also in that, essential, food security and means of’. Present in about twenty countries, SI – 2000 teams in total composed of’expatriates, national staffs, permanent staff at headquarters, some volunteers…intervene with professionalism and commitment in respect of cultures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Within the Operations Directorate, and under the supervision of the/the Director/trice of Operations, the/the Director/regionaltrice/e is responsible for the whole of the operations for the Countries under his responsibility CAR, DRC, Mozambique and Sudan.
In particular, the Regional Director/trice/e is the/the guarantor/e of the humanitarian relevance of the operations, their security, their good management in compliance with IS standards, etc, and their financing, and in particular the maintenance of good relations with the donors. The/the Director/regional director/e also participates in the’ orientation of the Global SI strategy.
The Regional Director is also a key player in SI’s influence and notoriety, and contributes to the testimony as well as to the advocacy of SI. As such, he / she proactively participates in meetings, forums, joint positions, testimonies and other external events concerning the countries under his responsibility.
Articulated around 7 main pillars: Annual strategy and planning; Representation and partner relationships; Awareness, advocacy and testimony; Security management ; Communication and reporting between countries and headquarters; Managerial management of its headquarters and field teams and Coordination and monitoring of projects ;
YOUR PROFILE
- An experience of Director Country / Head of Mission of minimum 2 years is essential
- At least 5 years of’ experience in Country Coordination positions (Land Coordinator, Program Coordinator etc..).
- Knowledge and field experiences on at least one, and preferably two, of the contexts covered by the position are welcome
- An experience within’a seat is welcome
- Proven experience in security management, and crisis management
- Representation capacity (in the field or at headquarters)
- In-depth knowledge of the challenges of the humanitarian sector essential
- Experience of management essential
- Proven capacity of design, of’writing and of fund raising with the humanitarian donors
- Bilingual French /English required.
IF YOU WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS
- Position based at the headquarters of Solidarity International, in Clichy la Garenne (Mairie de Clichy Metro) with field trips. Opportunities for teleworking below.
- CDD contract until’au 13 September 2024
- Monthly gross remuneration of : 4 303 € or 4 482 € depending on the experience of the candidates.es.
- Mutual (80 %), restaurant tickets (60%), transport tickets (50%) supported by the’association
- Possibility of teleworking: 4 or 12 days of Teleworking per month or 100% of teleworking with 3 days of mandatory face-to-face per month (Monthly fee paid for people in 100%TT). In accordance with the Telework Charter in force and the manager.
- Leave : 2.0833 CP /month and 1 day RTT / full month of work
- Days of recovery and medical coverage taken care of 100% during the field trips
