Solidarity International is a humanitarian association that works with vulnerable populations, mainly victims of armed conflict and natural disasters. Specialized for more than 40 years in the coverage of vital needs, it supports emergency and reconstruction programs.
The project of Solidarity International (SI) in France helps people in precarious situations living in precarious’habitats sites (such as slums or squats) around Toulouse, Lille, Nantes, etc, Marseille and’en Ile-de-France and Mayotte. The difficulties of the target audiences are characterized by the barriers that’s encounter to access essential services (in particular the products of’ maintenance and’ hygiene as well as access to’au) and by conditions of’habitat highly degraded not allowing decent living conditions due to’a very degraded environment. SI meets the needs of the populations targeted by the’installation of’infrastructures of’access to drinking’,’sanitary infrastructures and the distribution of hygiene kits.

SIZING OF THE TEAM IN BASE /COORDINATION
- Advocacy department: 1 lawyer in charge of advocacy, 2 assistants.
- Technical influence department: Referent of community mobilization and Referent EHA.
GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
- The/the person in charge(e) of European mission is responsible for the development and monitoring of the operational development strategies and targeted advocacy of Solidarity International (SI) at European level.
- He /she carries out a realization of’a comparative study to identify the deployment opportunities of International Solidarity (IS) at European level.
- He/she analyzes the inter-associative opportunities for the development of’actions of advocacy and referrals at the European level in order to denounce situations contrary to human rights to’eau and’Assainissement.
- Finally, Le/the European mission officer(e) is exploring the institutional funding possibilities for the position and subsequent activities in order to allow the mission to decide on the sustainability of the position beyond initial period.

- Post in France in TT or based in one of the offices of the Bureau France (Nantes, Paris, Marseille or Toulouse).
