FOI Fund Acquisition Coordination At Habitat for Humanity


Habitat for Humanity Dominican Republic requires hiring a FOI Fund Acquisition Coordinator.

Post mission:

Responsible for the development and implementation of a Foundation fundraising strategy, Organizations and Institutions (FOI) that ensure new grants in alignment with the programmatic strategy that the mission of Habitat Dominican Republic seeks to carry out. The main objective of this position is to achieve a greater positioning of HFHIRD vis-à-vis FOI donors and increase the number of new projects financed by this source of financing.

  • Post activities:
    He is responsible together with the National Directorate, to lead the development and implementation of the FOI strategy in alignment with the ON’s programmatic priorities that respond to the global strategy in a contextualized way.
  • Analyze the programmatic and geographic interests of each donor, the Grants acquisition procedure and the deadlines for submitting proposals, as the basis for developing comprehensive prepositioning plans.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with representatives of potential donors through prepositioning,
  • Responsible for preparing reports and other informational materials to support ON leadership in donor involvement.
  • Coordinate programmatic information to share and inform multilateral, bilateral and foundation donor officials about HFHIRD’s programmatic work in the country and at the regional level.
  • Responsible for maintaining detailed and accurate records of donor interactions in the HPHI database for potential donors (CRM).
  • Coordinate the proposal formulation process, ensuring that relevant proposals are made, with the requirements and interests of the donor and the ON.
  • Ensure that all materials written for FOI sources reflect the programmatic work of Habitat Dominican Republic and help position Habitat RD with FOI donors
    Monitor reporting deadlines for the active portfolio of FOI-funded projects and work directly with the key project executive team.
  • Stay diligently in the search for FOI agreements that allow the progress of the organization’s programmatic projects
  • Implement the national strategy aimed at raising FOI funds at HFHIRD.

  • 3-5 years of studies minimum

Context / Environment:
The work of the FOI Fund Acquisition Coordinator is carried out by 70% in offices and another 30% in follow-up and meetings with potential donors.
