Flying mission leader M/F At Islamic Relief France


Founded in 1991, Secours Islamique France (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) for emergency relief and development. SIF operates with strict neutrality, without distinction of origin, gender or religion, and is dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the world’s most deprived populations.

The SIF is looking for a flying mission manager (M/F) for its offices in Massy.

Context

You must ensure the opening of missions, their proper functioning and represent the SIF in the field in relation to the Desk Managers.

In this capacity, your main missions will be the following (non-exhaustive and evolving list):

  • During deployment, assess the needs of the target populations in the field (in conjunction with the International Programs and Operations Department team),
  • Take stock of the policies of the various donors in your country of assignment in order to understand their priorities and identify funding opportunities,
  • In deployment, propose intervention areas and themes based on the organization’s capacity and the coverage of needs by other organizations
  • In deployment and in the context of a Mission Manager gap, ensure the management of the local and expatriate team: supervision, monitoring, animation, assessment of HR needs, distribution of responsibilities and work tasks,
  • In deployment and in the context of a Head of Mission gap, represent the SIF with local and government authorities, donors, the United Nations system, international NGOs, embassies and associative partners,
  • Ensure the safety of people, equipment and activities implemented,
  • Ensure the mobilization of financial resources and means necessary for the implementation of projects.

Profile

  • Master 2 in international cooperation, humanitarian project management or equivalent
  • 5 years of field experience, including at least 2 years in Mission Manager positions
  • Managerial and writing skills
  • Very good capacity for context analysis (security management, humanitarian context, etc.)
  • Mastery of project cycle management tools
  • Ability to work both in emergencies and on in-depth files,
  • Rigor, professionalism and responsiveness, especially in emergency contexts, and the ability to deploy quickly in the field
  • Fluent English required

Terms

  • Executive status, under daily flat-rate agreement
  • CDI, full time
