Finance Administrative Assistant (for Philippines Nationals Only) At International Committee of the Red Cross


The Finance Administrative Assistant responsible for cash transactions and integrity of physical cash balances in the delegation and provides support to the general administrative and clerical task of the Finance department.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles the delegation’s cash disbursements and cash payments, including salaries and working advances.
  • Carries out daily cash count and reconciliation.
  • Handles cash replenishment from the bank ensuring sufficient cash funds in the delegation.
  • Pre-logs invoices in JDE/IRIS on a daily basis.
  • Registers supplier in the supplier portal for non-supply chain suppliers.
  • Manages the Finance database to ensure timely attribution and processing of request.
  • Scans documents and upload to file container for accounting recording and filing.
  • Provides assistance to the accountants in filing and collating of attachments and supporting documents from emails and Service and Task Management (STM).
  • In-charge of the archiving of relevant paper and electronic files in an orderly manner.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • University degree in accountancy or any business course
  • At least 1 to 2 years of administration or finance/accounting experience or internship experience in a related function is preferred.
  • Experience with international organization is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software (IRIS, JDE etc.) is an advantage.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and in local language(s)
  • Basic clerical skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
