Focus on our activities in BURKINA FASO

PUI intervenes in Burkina Faso since July 2020 through activities to maintain the continuum of care for populations affected by the crisis in the region of’Est (district of Fada, Gayeri, etc, Pama, Diappaga and Bogande), from the Sahel (district of Sebba) and in the Loop of Mouhoun (Boromo). The’ intervention of PUI revolves around two pillars: the’ support to the resilience of the care system and the emergency response through the deployment of mobile clinics. These projects, supported by the CDCS, ECHO and the Humanitarian Fund, are part of an integrated approach : thus, PUI supports the provision of primary and secondary health care of supported health centers, rehabilitate’au points, take care of malnutrition and referrals of emergencies to the secondary level, provide food assistance.PUI works in the framework of several projects with a national partner and an international partner.

And the Field Coordinator in all of this?

As Field Coordinator, you will be responsible for the proper functioning of the database and the proper implementation of the programs developed on this basis.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Security: You will be responsible for security on the basis
  • Programs: You will coordinate the teams and ensure the proper implementation of the programs on the basis, under the supervision of your direct supervisor.e.
  • Human Resources: You will supervise all of the grassroots teams, national and international staff.
  • Logistical, administrative and financial monitoring : You will supervise the logistical, administrative and financial aspects on the basis for the implementation of the programs, and you will ensure compliance with the related procedures, including, with the functional support of the/of the Logistic Coordinator, and the/of the Administrative.tive and Financial Coordinator of the mission.
  • Representation : You will represent the’association with the partners, authorities and various local actors involved in the’ intervention area of the base.
  • Coordination: You will centralize and disseminate the’information of/to the base and consolidate the internal and external reporting of the activities implemented in the’intervention area before transmitting it to your direct line manager.e.
  • Evaluation/Strategy : You will participate in the’ development of the strategy and propose new interventions according to the needs identified in the’ intervention area.

The challenges ahead of you:

– Support programs and development of new projects

– Structuring of the base on the support parts in connection with the increase in activities

management of security and external relations (local authorities)

What you will need to succeed

  • Formation

You can justify a higher degree’ (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to humanitarian action: project management, technical training related to one of our areas of intervention, human resources management, financial management, etc.

  • Experience

You have at least one year of’ field experience in international NGO, in the coordination of projects. Experience in expatriate’ team management, in project management, and in security management is highly appreciated. Have you ever held the position of Field Coordinator or equivalent in an international NGO? It will also be valued. Have you worked with First International Emergency? It will be an undeniable asset!

  • Skills

You are proficient in humanitarian project management and team management, you have a good knowledge of the main funders. You have excellent writing skills.

  • Qualities required

You show a good relationship, ease of communication, both in writing and orally, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate leadership and decision-making ability, reliability and sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

  • Languages

French and English have no secrets for you ? So much the better, it’is essential for this post !

PUI will propose

  • Status: Framework in Contract with Determined Duration
  • Monthly gross salary: 2 650,00 – 3 130,00 EUR according to your experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical and supplementary health coverage, 24h/24 assistance, repatriation and pension
  • Accommodation in a collective house
  • Living expenses (“Per Diem”)
  • Break regime: 5 working days to 3 and 9 months of mission + break premium
  • Paid Leave Plan: 5 weeks of CP/year + A/R air ticket at home every 6 months
