As a major player in the social and solidarity economy, the French Red Cross manages a network of more than 600 institutions and services in the health, medico-social and training sectors. She is also the head of 12 regional institutes for health and social training.
At’international, the CRF intervenes in 16 countries alongside National Societies and 2 regional platforms (PIRAC and PIROI), on the following themes: Health and Disaster risk management.

Just as in the professions that’elle develops and implements in France, the French Red Cross at’international inscribes all its missions in a sustainable humanitarian action plan. This is reflected in an articulation of the activities of’urgency, post-emergency, crisis exit and reconstruction aimed at the best efficiency. The’objective is to carry out actions with lasting effects and to allow the populations to regain their full autonomy.

Its International Operations Department ( DOI ) is present in around twenty countries, notably in Africa, the Middle East/Europe and the Indian Ocean and Caribbean area via its Regional Intervention Platforms ( PIR ). Its areas of intervention are varied: health, water and sanitation, food security and livelihoods, psychosocial support and disaster risk reduction, and this, both in emergency contexts and in a perspective of recovery of populations after a crisis.

FINALITY

Provide support to the Responsable Desk to ensure the coordination and coherence of projects designed /implemented in the geographical perimeter taking into account the geopolitical and humanitarian context, policies of national societies, donor logics, objectives set and resources allocated by the FIU
Provide support to delegations in project development, monitoring and’evaluation of programmes and in obtaining funding for their projects
Support the desk manager in the development of projects in support of the Moroccan red crescent and existing programs at the MENA desk

MISSIONS & ACTIVITIES

MISSION 1: PARTICIPATION IN THE OPERATIONAL STRATEGY OF THE GEOGRAPHICAL AREA

Participates in strategic thinking on program development
Gathers relevant information that can feed into strategic thinking (humanitarian needs, added value of programmes, donor funding, positioning of actors, evolution of the local context..).
Produces a history on activities /programs that can serve as a baseline in the context of’a prospective analysis

MISSION 2: PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT PROPOSALS

Supports the coordination of the procedure for submission of any project proposal
Assists countries in the drafting of proposals and funding requests through its knowledge of activities /programmes and donor rules ; supports in the follow-up of application processes / responses to funding needs

MISSION 3: PARTICIPATION IN PROJECT MONITORING AND REPORTING

Supports in the coordination of the monitoring of the’ status of’ projects /programmes, identifies implementation difficulties, provides direct support or calls on support functions (Technical, Finance, Finance, etc, Logistics, HR..) to solve problems /to propose solutions
Supports the field in finalizing narrative reports

MISSION 4: INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

Ensures the update /dissemination of information relating to projects and contexts of’ intervention : project files, website, in collaboration with the communication officer.
Ensures the compilation and dissemination of weekly and monthly reports from countries, verifies the’archiving of documents throughout the life cycle of projects

Excellent writing and synthesis skills
Coordination and’animation capacities of meetings
Excellent mastery of the project cycle and its monitoring tools
Mastery of the office pack and google suite
Good knowledge of donors (AFD, CDCS, ECHO etc…)
Excellent’english level (read, spoken, written). Desired arabic
2 Or 3 years of’ experience terrain preferably on the MENA area
Experience in a seat is a plus
Experience in delegation opening is a plus
