Focus on the Accounting Department

The Accounting Department is made up of 7 people. The mission of its members is to manage the general accounting of the headquarters and missions of the Association.

And the Deputy Head Office Accounting Manager in all this?

As Deputy Headquarters Accounting Manager, under the hierarchical supervision of the Accounting Manager, you will supervise the Headquarters Accounting team, you will ensure the monitoring, supervision and control of the accounting of Première Urgence Internationale Headquarters and you will participate the improvement and deployment of the Association’s accounting tools and procedures.

To this end, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Management : you will support and supervise the head office accounting team, made up of an accountant and a treasury accountant, you will ensure the proper flow of information. You will also be in charge of developing and updating individual action plans as well as conducting half-yearly and/or annual appraisal interviews.
  • Supervision of Headquarters Accounting : you will be in charge of entering bank entries jointly with the Treasury Accountant and charging bank charges. You will be in charge of analyzing and reviewing the accounts. You will ensure monitoring and corrections of ABXLs with field accounting as well as monitoring the validation process of Headquarters invoices. You will provide technical support to the accountant and the treasury accountant.
  • Supervision of cash sending issues : you will ensure the relationship with the COMEX department, monitoring international transfers, managing banking compliance, supervising the cash register as well as defining cash management policies.
  • Annual and quarterly closing : you will actively participate in quarterly and annual closing operations, the justification of suspense accounts, social accounts, the reconciliation of grants and donations, as well as the reprocessing of field entries.
  • Development of tools and improvement of processes : you will develop tools and procedures allowing greater efficiency in accounting management and you will develop and provide e-learning training modules. You will be responsible for upgrading the information systems used by the accounting department and synchronizing between existing systems. You will be in charge of developing accounting schemes and procedures.

The challenges that await you:

Implement structuring tools for PUI across the organization and participate in the establishment of harmonized procedures for Headquarters and future deployments. The Accounting department continues to evolve to take into account current developments in accounting professions (digitization, automatic reading of data, Artificial Intelligence) in order to adapt our tools and working methods.

What you will need to succeed

Formation

You can provide proof of initial training (Bac+3/4 minimum) in accounting.

Experience

You have at least 2 years of general accounting experience. Do you have experience in cost accounting? This is essential for this position. Have you already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? This will be an undeniable asset!

SKILLS

Do you know the SAGE 100 software? Do you know how to manage cross-functional projects (such as the implementation of a new IS or accounting tool)? This position is made for you!

Required qualities

You demonstrate good interpersonal skills, ease of communication, both written and oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate reliability and a sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, a sense of confidentiality, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.

Status frame

Salary: €3,520 gross monthly over 12 months, depending on experience

Medical coverage: 100% from health and welfare mutual insurance

Coverage: Coverage of 50% of the transport ticket and 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of €10)

Rest : 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month (37 hours/week)
