Responsibilities and missions
The educational coordinator is responsible for implementing educational activities for the PLAY association on various projects. In this sense, he/she is required to work on the development of educational content, in conjunction with the educational referent based in Paris. He/she leads training courses for the public benefiting from the projects (facilitators, teachers, trainers, coaches), and subsequently supports partners and trainers to make them autonomous in the dissemination of training courses.
The workplace is based in Dakar. However, the position of educational coordinator
requires a significant presence in the field (approximately 70% of the time outside the
Dakar office). Travel is expected in the areas of operations:
mainly the regions of Ziguinchor, Louga, Saint-Louis, and potentially in other regions of Senegal, as well as outside Senegal, in other countries where projects are carried out. Hierarchically attached to the head of mission, he/she ensures functional relations with the decentralized bodies of the various ministries with which PLAY is required to work, and with the partners implementing the activities. He/she works with the program coordinators and operational project managers who coordinate the projects and activities.

The objectives of the position are:
Objective 1. Contribute to the development of educational content
1- Participate in diagnostics to identify needs and define educational levers
2- Organize educational co-creation workshops
3- Supervise test sessions
4- Drafting of game sheets and session presentation documents for external use
5- Participate in monthly educational coordination sessions organized by the
PLAY educational referent, to harmonize the association’s educational strategy and capitalize
on the various missions

Objective 2. Contribute to the organization of activities with beneficiaries
1- Drafting of training plans for projects and educational content of
training for supervisors (teachers, facilitators, coaches, educators,
etc.), trainers of trainers, and partners.
2- Facilitating or co-facilitating training for beneficiaries
3- Evaluation of training and preparation of training reports
4- Monitoring and supporting trainees in the field, developing a progression
allowing them to increase their skills, to enable them to eventually become
qualified trainers and resource personnel for PLAY
5- Participation in the evaluation of the program (development of pre/post questionnaires, monitoring of
indicators, etc.), using a results-based approach
6- Capacity building of project managers for the delegation of responsibilities
(training, monitoring)
7- Continuous capitalization of good practices and lessons learned within its scope

Objective 3. Contribution to the smooth running of the PLAY mission
1- Participation in the life of the PLAY team: internal information meetings, internal training,
cross-functional working groups
2- Organization of events such as After Play, Educational Cafés, or the
Sports and Development Seminar
3- Possible solicitation on other missions depending on availability and workload plans of
the team

Experiences / Training

Required skills:
Experience, Training
– Training in STAPS / Educational Science / Educational Engineering
– At least 3 years of experience in training/animation/sports education
– Mastery of basic knowledge in animation and active pedagogy
– Experience in andragogy

Know-how
– Ability to prepare and deliver training
– Ability to design educational materials
– Ability to adapt training and language and attitude according to the audience
of learners
– Management and evaluation of adult training
– Support and educational reinforcement of teams/partners in person and remotely

Salary

Fixed-term contract of one year renewable, under local law or French law depending on the profile to be filled as soon as possible.
Position based in Dakar.
