Oxfam in the Central African Republic is looking for a Coordinator based in Bangui, reporting directly to the Country Director who will work with the teams in planning, securing and effectively managing donor funds to enable Oxfam in the CAR to implement its country program and strategy.

WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Ensure that current contracts are properly implemented in accordance with the lessor’s requirements;
  • Collect and analyze the different financing opportunities offered by the confederation and donors interested in the CAR;
  • Be responsible for sending project/programme documentation to donors, whilst ensuring compliance with donor formats and standards, deadlines, Oxfam quality standards, and ensuring the final quality of the product.
  • Ensure that good quality and timely information is provided to management bodies, the region and other stakeholders for the budget planning process according to Oxfam processes;
  • Proactively meet with current donors to monitor current contracts and present activities carried out (power points, summary notes);
  • Establish and maintain up to date the strategy and plan for mobilizing financial resources with the aim of prioritizing approaches to donors;
  • Develop and implement a detailed plan to strengthen the capacity of Oxfam staff and funding partner organizations, particularly in proposal writing and donor mapping. This will include the needs assessment, capacity building approach and implementation plan, including tools and methodologies, performance standards and evaluation approach.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

  • Start date: 01/11/2024
  • Contract duration: 12 months
  • Gross annual salary: 35,096 Euros gross/year
  • Leave: 34 days per year (including public holidays)
  • Hard to work allowance: 5.515 Euros net/ an
  • Insurance, per diem, accommodation, R&R, travel at the expense of Oxfam according to the conditions in force
  • Location: Bangui, CAR with travel to the bases.

Essential criteria

  • University education level bac +4, preferably in the fields of Economic Sciences, Social Sciences, Development or similar;
  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in resource mobilization and financing management;
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in humanitarian and development NGOs;
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in program/project management;
  • Have extensive experience in the Fundraising field;
  • Excellent financial management skills;
  • Have a broad knowledge of the African environment and national gender policies;
  • Strong understanding and extensive experience in humanitarian and development program management;
  • Knowledge of donor mechanisms, in particular ECHO, EU, UN agencies, World Bank, national donors (SIDA, AECID, AMC, GFO, BMZ, AFD, BHA, ASDI.);
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of Oxfam would be an asset.
