Duties and Responsibilities

•  Analyze business requirements, provide possible solutions, and develop data models accordingly.
•  Design and development for the Data warehouse dimensional model according to the provided business requirements.
•  Design and development for the OLAP Database using SSAS database objects;
•  Develop ETL packages.
•  Design and develop reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using DAX and MS Power BI.
•  Develop multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.
•  Deployment and configuration packages for all created work components.
•  Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements, and user manuals.
•  Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications/special skillsAcademic Qualifications: A university degree or master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, or other related disciplines; Experience:

•  A minimum of 4 years of proven technical experience for a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 year for a master’s degree in software applications development and implementation.
•  Experience in design Reports and Dashboards using Microsoft Power BI connecting to OLAP cubes or any other data sources.
•  Experience and familiarity with Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
•  Experience in designing cubes for complex business requirements.
•  Experience in writing DAX /MDX expression for Microsoft Analysis Services.
•  Experience in Microsoft Business Intelligence Architecture.
•  Experience in ETL development
•  Strong data architecture knowledge around data warehousing concepts.
•  Experience with SQL Server databases as developer. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
•  Knowledge and skills for secondary tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, Visual Studio, etc.
•  Experience in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects.
•  Familiarity with ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries. COMPETENCIES

•  Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
•  High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision.

•  The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
•  Remuneration for this consultancy will be 1,490.30 USD and depend on fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience.
•  The incumbent will be based in Gaza.

Additional InformationUNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking a Senior BI Developer who will be responsible for building analysis services reporting models, connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence solutions. The consultant will report administratively to Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarter Gaza and technically to Head, Enterprise Arch & Business Intelligence Unit (HQ-Amman).
