Primary Responsibility:
Under the supervision of the Information Management Officer, the Consultant will conduct a thorough review of IOM Sudan information management system, RIMS, and re-engineer the system to enhance its user experience, performance, and security.
Deliverables:
- Evaluation document.
- Identify areas of improvement for enhanced user experience.
- Identify new functionalities that can be added and existing ones that need to be updated for performance enhancement.
- Identify the vulnerabilities and security solutions to be implemented.
- Identify the existing practices required to be changed for smooth operations and maintenance.
- Development/intervention
- UI/UX and functionality enhancement.
- Interface design, functionalities addition and optimization per the evaluation’s findings, which includes, but is not limited to –
- Development of custom themes.
- Development of custom modules.
- Enforcement of appropriate solutions enhancing the system’s security and performance.
- Detailed technical documentation of the interventions and the recommendations with the best practices to be followed for the smooth operations and maintenance of the system.
- Develop a user manual.

Education.
- Candidates should have a university degree in computer science, information management, or related fields and demonstrate experience in PHP and Drupal-based systems development.
Experience
- Minimum five years of PHP programming and UI/UX designing experience.
- Minimum five years of experience in custom module and theme development for a Drupal environment.
- Experience of working with APIs.
- Candidates should provide a portfolio containing examples of their achievements.
skills
- Advanced knowledge of PHP
- Advanced knowledge of MySQL
- Advanced UI/UX design skills with comprehensive experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and REST/JSON
Languages:
Fluency in English is required.
