SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL (SI) is a humanitarian NGO which, for 44 years, has been helping people affected by conflict and violence, epidemics, natural and climatic disasters and economic collapse. Our humanitarian teams’ mission is to rescue those whose safety, health and lives are threatened, by covering their basic needs: water, food and shelter.
SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL responds to the emergency by delivering aid directly and, at the same time, develops lasting solutions so that the affected populations regain lasting access to water, sanitation, hygiene, food security and safe housing .
Thanks to its very good knowledge of the field and its expertise, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL manages to intervene in the most difficult to access areas and in particularly dangerous contexts .
Present in more than 25 countries , the SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL teams – 2,500 people in total – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.
SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL makes it its duty to inform and raise awareness among the general public and to this end carries out several communication actions during festivals, cultural or sporting events, among young people, students, etc.
TO CARRY OUT THESE ACTIONS, WE NEED YOU!
By becoming a delegate. As a volunteer assistant to SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in Brittany, you actively support the development of the delegation by relaying its awareness-raising actions in your metropolis.
In coordination with the current Brittany regional delegate, your main missions are:
Recruit, lead and retain a team of volunteers, relying on the already existing team and on members and alumni of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL based in the region.
Take part in the organization or participation in general public events in the region (festivals, school and extracurricular activities, photo exhibitions, screenings, etc.)
Relay, coordinate and develop the activities of the delegation, also in liaison with the person in charge of regional delegations based at headquarters.
Deputize for the delegate in representing the association to local stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of the link with the network of actors in the region to carry out the delegation’s actions: local authorities, business networks, local associations, regional daily press, schools, middle schools, high schools, universities, etc.
Collaborate with the Brittany delegate and delegates from other regional delegations to capitalize and ensure consistency in actions
Share the actions of the regional delegation on social networks, as well as news from SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL and more broadly, from the international solidarity sector.
USEFUL INFORMATION :
- You will be supported and trained by the Regional Delegations Manager based at the association’s headquarters to understand the functioning of the association and the challenges of developing the delegations.
- A volunteer agreement will allow you to be insured.
- You are invited to all the NGO’s highlights and meetings!
- All profiles are welcome, with a particular appetite for the associative sector!
