ASH Cluster Co-Coordinator Venezuela At Norwegian Refugee Council

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is looking for a dedicated, resilient and dynamic professional to take on the role of Co-coordinator of the ASH cluster (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) for Venezuela. NRC has been chosen by members as the co-coordinating agency of the Venezuela ASH cluster. Coordination and co-coordination should work closely together to ensure effective coordination between Cluster members, government agencies, NGOs, civil society organizations (CSOs) and other relevant actors in order to ensure the key functions of the Cluster (6 + 1) established in the reference module for the coordination of the Cluster at the national level

¿What will be your responsibilities?

  1. Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings of the Cluster and update on the status of the ASH response in Venezuela together with the coordinator.
  2. Collaborate with the coordinator in the preparation and participation of inter-Cluster meetings and / or represent the Cluster in the absence of the coordinator
  3. Collect, analyze and share information on ASH needs and on the ASH situation in Venezuela.
  4. In conjunction with the coordinator, facilitate communication between the members of the Cluster and ensure that the information flows effectively.
  5. Promote the participation of partners in technical working groups (GTT), contribute to their training, collaborate with them and socialize the products obtained to ensure that ASH activities are consistent and aligned with best practices, validating that humanitarian standards are adapted to the context of Venezuela and that national regulations are complied with.
  6. Support the coordination of ASH projects in the field, ensuring that international standards and guidelines are met, and that activities are aligned with the ASH strategic plan and identified needs.

Education and experience requirements

  • Professional in Architecture, Civil Engineering or other related to the field of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.
  • Verbal and written fluency in the English language.
  • Minimum 3 years in ASH project management in humanitarian contexts.
  • Management of generic humanitarian guides and manuals and ASH such as Sphere Manual, Wash Fit, 3-star Manual, compendium of technologies and sanitation systems, etc.
  • Mastery in the management of office tools relevant to the management of ASH competence.
  • Proven history of training / capacity building of individuals and teams, including partner organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex humanitarian and recovery contexts at the local and national levels, monitor changes and translate them into appropriate strategic planning.
  • Good evaluation, analysis, monitoring and evaluation and planning skills, as well as project management to enable program execution.

  • Type of contract: 12-month national or international labor contract, with the possibility of renewal according to budget and performance
  • Compensation / Benefits: According to the NRC salary scales, its terms and conditions, this position is Grade 9.
