Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the supervision of the Head of Department SMSP and Protection and Field Manager, your mission will be to guarantee the quality and relevance of the SMSP interventions put in place to ensure the well-being of the most vulnerable populations affected by the crisis or disasters Goma-Bambo.
Specifically, your role will be to :
Provide analysis on the strategy and positioning of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support department in the Goma and Bambo regions.
Identify needs and contribute to the formulation of projects in the field of Mental Health and Care Practices.
To ensure the implementation, monitoring and drafting of the reports of the SMSP projects.
Contribute to quality and accountability processes, as well as to the impact assessment of PMSC programmes.
Participate in the coordination, representation and partnerships of Action contre la Faim in your field of intervention.
Train and manage your teams.
Contribute to capitalization and technical development.
Guarantee and ensure the confidentiality of the data collected during the SMSP activities of the mission.
Profile :
You hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or Psychiatry, with at least 2 years of experience in these fields and in particular in the psychological management of psychic traumas.
You have at least 2 years of experience as an SMSP and Protection Programme Manager in different international NGOs and you have experience in managing integrated multisectoral projects. Experience with Action Against Hunger is an asset.
You also have experience in managing and supervising teams both live and remotely. You have a good relationship and are able to set up capacity building plans for teams and execute them.
You have good stress management; you have already worked in the field, in a context or a situation that is complex from a security point of view.
You are capable of organization, anticipation and proactivity.
You are particularly competent in the analysis, synthesis and resolution of problems.
You master French and English, both orally and in writing.
YOUR EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Fixed-term contract of use under French law: 3 months
Start date : As soon as possible
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience
Pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Per diem and monthly living expenses : 974$ net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150euros
Child allowance: 1500euros per year per child present in the country of origin (6000euros/year ceiling)
Transport and housing : Travel management and collective housing
Medical coverage : 100% of the coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance devices (illness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR : 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; support of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break area, and 215euros of lump sum compensation by RnR
