About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eradicating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflict and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programmes around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the responsibility of the Zone Coordinator, you will have the following missions:
Manage the logistics activity of the area
Implement and ensure supply chain performance
Implement and guarantee the performance of general means
Implement and guarantee computer, network and telecommunications performance
Contribute to safety management
To implement and monitor the collaboration and logistical coordination with the partners of the mission
Supervise the logistics team at the base
Ensure reporting
The priorities for the position will be to implement the mission’s logistics policy to ensure logistical performance and provide the best support to programmes in its area.
Profile:
You hold a Bac +2 minimum, in logistics or equivalent.
You have at least 2 years of experience in a logistics position, as well as 2 years of experience in a humanitarian mission.
You have experience in team management.
You have pedagogical skills, as well as good relational qualities (partners, authorities).
You have good analytical skills, flexibility and adaptability.
You are particularly attentive to the details.
You master computer science (Excel, Word and Internet).
You have a perfect command of French, both written and oral.
Working in an international environment, knowledge of English is an asset.
Employment conditions
Fixed-term contract of use under French law: 12 months until 14/10/2025
Gross monthly salary: from 2130 to 2475 euros depending on experience
Pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Basic salary increase: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
Per diem and monthly living expenses : 974$ net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 450euros
Child allowance: 1500euros per year per child present in the country of origin (6000euros/year ceiling)
Transport and housing : Travel management and collective housing
Medical coverage : 100% of the coverage of health contributions (CFE + complementary health) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance devices (illness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR : 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; support of the ticket with ceiling to go to the chosen break area, and 215 euros of lump sum compensation by RnR
