The LACMENA Pole leads Médecins du Monde operations in Latin America/Caribbean (Colombia, Mexico) and North Africa/Middle East (Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Yemen). It currently consists of a pole manager, three desk managers, three program support officers, two health referents and a mental health and psychosocial support referent.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the head of the LACMENA division and in conjunction with the head of the quality of practices division (Health Advocacy Department)

You provide technical support to project teams to ensure the quality of health practices within programs in their definition and implementation.

The geographical scope of this position currently covers the following countries: Mexico, Colombia, Iraq, Yemen.

Your main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Contribute to the development of the operational strategy and the advocacy strategy of the programs and participate in the development and construction of the projects
  • Participate in the definition of indicators, monitoring and evaluation as well as the analysis and enhancement of health data
  • Oversee the planning and monitoring of health activities and dedicated human and financial resources
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and adaptation of tools, protocols and reference frameworks for programs
  • Ensure monitoring and analysis of the health situation and health policies in the countries in your portfolio
  • Supervise and analyze the management of pharmaceutical products
  • Participate in the recruitment of healthcare personnel and contribute to team briefings
  • Provide your technical support regarding team health within the framework of MdM rules and policies
  • Represent the association at conferences
  • Take part in internal MdM training courses
  • Contribute to the writing of scientific reports or articles

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Status: Employee

Contract: Permanent contract / Full time

  • Position to be filled as soon as possible on a permanent contract
  • Based at the headquarters in Saint-Denis with travel on international missions (around 3 per year lasting 1 to 3 weeks)
  • Gross monthly salary between 3,570 euros and 3,907 euros – depending on experience
  • Position status: executive
  • Equivalent to 13th month paid in 2 installments – from 6 months of actual work seniority
  • Mutual insurance (60% participation by MdM and 40% by the employee)
  • 22.5 RTT / an
  • 5 weeks of paid vacation / year
  • Meal vouchers worth 9.00 euros (60% contribution from MdM)
  • 50% reimbursement of public transport tickets
  • Teleworking agreement subject to eligibility of your position: 110 days of teleworking per year (i.e. an average of 2.5 days of teleworking per week) with the obligation to work in person at least 5 days per month

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • Doctor, pharmacist, nurse, midwife/obstetrician
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the profession and minimum 4 years of field experience (particularly in coordination)
  • Public health knowledge
  • Organizational and priority management skills
  • Languages: French, English and Spanish, fluency (written and spoken) essential
  • You adhere to the values ​​and activist positioning of Médecins du Monde.
