WHO ARE WE

War Child Netherlands consists of over 50 dedicated professionals who are responsible for a large part of the income of War Child Global, all fundraising activities in the Netherlands and for the positioning and reputation of the organization. You are part of the Operations team and work closely with other teams within War Child Netherlands.

The HR Administrator in this new HR team provides (salary) administrative and organizational support to the HR team, managers and employees with regard to HR processes, instruments, systems and acts as a source of information. The HR Administrator performs these tasks independently. The HR Administrator acts as an internal and external point of contact for personnel matters.

Together with your colleague HR Advisor (who also has a vacancy at the moment), you will start together in a new HR team as part of the Operations department. You will report to the Head of Operations just like the HR Advisor.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing changes in the personnel file and managing personnel files, the personnel information system and other systems. Ensuring that the personnel administration is in order and up to date;
  • Responsible for administrative and organizational tasks of inflow and outflow and sickness and leave registration for permanent employees, interns, consultants and volunteers;
  • Play an active role in developing improved HR processes and contribute to shaping HR policy;
  • Onboarding of new employees, including reference checks, offer of employment, contracts, benefits and payroll system set up;
  • Coordinating and carrying out activities related to payroll administration and independently preparing monthly personnel changes for processing by the external payroll processor within a set time schedule;
  • Answering questions from managers and employees about various HR matters such as: employment conditions, performance and assessment interviews, etc.;
  • Extract and analyze data from systems and compile management information reports for key stakeholders, such as the annual audit and annual report;
  • Supporting various ongoing HR activities such as onboarding days, organization-wide training, employee satisfaction surveys, etc.;
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in working methods and procedures within the organization and one’s own department.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Relevant education(s);
  • Familiar with Dutch legislation and regulations and experience in drafting contracts and documents in line with these;
  • Experience in working with and keeping HR systems up to date;
  • Experience with personnel, payroll and other relevant administration;
  • Strong communication skills and confidential in nature;
  • Good time management and prioritization skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English;
  • You fully support the objectives of War Child;
  • You are proactive, eager to learn and like to get things done;
  • Available for 32 hours per week.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Salary ranges from €3108 to €3865 gross per month, based on 40 hours per week (the exact amount is determined by the years of your relevant work experience);
  • 8% holiday allowance based on the annual salary;
  • An employment contract for 24 hours;
  • 29 days of vacation per year on a full-time basis (of which 3 predetermined days off);
  • A pension scheme fully paid for by War Child;
  • Net contribution to home working and travel expenses in accordance with our hybrid work policy (our office is best reached by public transport);
  • Monthly mobile phone allowance of €25 net per month;

We work in a hybrid way, with a combination of home, office and of course sometimes on the road to clients in this role.
