Job Offer: Gender Consultant in India – TDS-Group
TDS-Group is currently looking for a Gender consultant for a mission to evaluate development projects in India in the precarious neighborhoods of Jaipur and Mumbai.
As a Gender Consultant, you will play a key role in evaluating the impact of interventions on beneficiaries, while contributing to the collection and analysis of data in the field.
Main Missions:
– Conducting qualitative surveys
– Field analysis
– Participation in the evaluation
– Report and recommendations: Produce detailed evaluation reports, including recommendations to strengthen future interventions
Required skills and qualifications :
– Field surveys : Experience in conducting surveys among poor households and interacting with vulnerable audiences.
– Qualitative methodologies : Strong expertise in applying qualitative survey methodologies, with an ability to critically analyze data.
– Project evaluation : Proven competence in evaluating development projects in urban settings, with a focus on women’s empowerment and gender inequalities.
– Excellent interpersonal skills : Excellent listening skills, ease in interacting with different stakeholders and ability to build trusting relationships with local communities.
– Language proficiency : Proficiency in English and Hindi essential . Knowledge of French is an asset.
– Knowledge of slums : Previous experience and understanding of the social and economic realities of slums in India, particularly in Jaipur and Mumbai.

– Social work and psychosocial support for vulnerable populations.
– Gender inequalities and women’s empowerment.
– Innovative approaches for the economic integration of women in disadvantaged urban areas.
Work Location:
Assignments will primarily take place in Jaipur and Mumbai, India , with field travel to collect data and interact with local communities.
