ABOUT SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is a humanitarian aid association that has been involved in the field for over 40 years. SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL responds to emergencies by delivering aid in person and, at the same time, develops sustainable solutions so that affected populations regain sustainable access to water, sanitation, hygiene, diversified livelihoods and safe housing. Thanks to its excellent knowledge of the field and its expertise, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL is able to intervene in the most difficult-to-access areas and in particularly dangerous contexts. SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL also demonstrates a unique technical and social engineering capacity, which it has perfected over the years, drawing in particular on development and innovation work carried out by its teams and partners.
ABOUT THE MISSION
In Haiti, SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL supports populations facing multiple and simultaneous crises. Indeed, Haiti is facing a convergence of deep socio-political, security and humanitarian crises, marked by the constant violence of armed groups and their growing control over the country. The general deterioration of the security situation in urban areas, such as the Metropolitan Area of Port-au-Prince, such as the Metropolitan Area of Port-au-Prince, continues to cause a large number of internal displacements. In addition to being affected by epidemics, such as cholera (which reappeared in October 2022), Haiti remains one of the countries in the world most exposed to the risks of natural disasters (hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), which increases its chronic vulnerability and episodes of acute periodic crises.
