Field training officer (HR, Finance and Integration sector) M/F At Doctors Without Borders


Médecins Sans Frontières, an international humanitarian medical association created in 1971, provides medical assistance to populations whose lives are threatened: mainly in the event of armed conflicts, but also epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters or exclusion from care. The French section is present in around thirty countries.

As part of a temporary replacement, we are looking for a Field Training Officer (HR, Finance and Integration sector) M/F

Assignment :

The MSF L&D (Learning & Development) service’s mission is to support departments and fields in thinking about and building the learning and development offer for their teams.

With the Coordinator of the HR, finance and integration training program, you ensure the implementation of field training according to the guidelines set for the Learning & Development Service.

Main responsibilities, in the HR, finance and integration sector:

  • Participate in discussions on how to respond to learning and development needs:
    • Participate in the identification of learning/development needs and the evaluation of existing offerings to propose training improvements/updates.
  • Participate in the programming of field training
    • Participer à la planification annuelle
    • Inform speakers/trainers of the dates of training sessions and make or check room reservations,
    • Explain the educational interest of training to departments and the field,
    • In conjunction with the grounds and Pool Managers, help identify training needs and validate training registration requests,
    • Ensure good communication between people registered on the grounds: answer questions relating to the content and format of the training courses.
  • Be responsible for implementing training:
    • Follow up with Pool Managers and HR Cells on the number and appropriate profiles of participants for each training session,
    • Collect and correct self-training and/or prerequisite exercises, and provide individualized feedback to participants,
    • Prepare the educational materials, supports, tools and documentation necessary for the smooth running of the training for participants and facilitators/speakers,
    • Assurer le support à distance (problèmes d’inscription/connexion…) des participants pour les e-learning prérequis aux formations,
    • Facilitate case studies, practical workshops, exercises and exercise debriefings,
    • To be the point of contact for training managers for all practical and organizational questions during training and to ensure follow-up,
    • Ensure the smooth running of training days’ logistics as well as time management,
    • Have a critical eye throughout the training in order to identify their strengths and weaknesses,
    • Write training reports, provide feedback to speakers.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects:
    • Be a driving force for proposals on cross-functional projects and implement them.

Profile sought

Education/Experience:

Minimum 12 months of experience in two different fields with MSF is required, preferably in the positions of RHFIN project manager (“Admin”) and/or as RHFIN Coordinator.

Experience in training management and facilitation will be valued.

Experience in training project management and/or HR development will be appreciated.

Qualités requises :

Good interpersonal skills, dynamic

Ease in public speaking

Sense of organization and autonomy

Interest in adult training/HR development, and humanitarian action.

Languages: French (C1) and English (B2)

Skills: Proficiency in the Office suite.

Status and conditions:

Full-time fixed-term contract (5 months with possible extension) preferably based in Paris or Bordeaux.

Start date: November 12, 2024.

Travel to be expected: Bordeaux if based in Paris and abroad.

Terms :

€43,572.94 gross annually over 13 months.

22 days of RTT per year. Health insurance 100% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières. Meal vouchers with a face value of €11 (60% covered by Médecins Sans Frontières). Public transport ticket 50% covered.
