JOB OBJECTIVES:

Within the Atlas Logistics (AL) Department, and under the responsibility of the Deployment Division Manager, you ensure, as Pool and Preparedness Manager, that the deployment division always has a team of aerobatic pilots, available, trained, equipped, ready to be deployed. You are responsible for the direct management of the aerobatic team and lead the monitoring of the aerobatic team’s action plan. You also contribute to the development of the strategy for emergency preparedness projects and their implementation. This position does not include the management of Atlas emergency operations.

Here are your main responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the hierarchical management of the 6 flyers in the deployment unit.
  • You will ensure HR monitoring, annual planning, the training plan, the skills development plan and career monitoring.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring the pole’s action plan, in particular by assigning tasks to the acrobats during their non-deployed phases.
  • You will be responsible for organizing recurring workshops for the deployment center.
  • You will also be in charge of the functional management of the support flyers (3 people) attached to the deployment center.
  • You will monitor cross-functional projects with other support departments and the Emergency Department.

As an Emergency Preparedness Officer:

  • You are the AL focal point for any emergency preparedness project
  • You participate in the synergy work on the pool rosters and others
  • You are in charge of the pool’s participation in SIMEX, LRT and other types of training in the emergency log huma sector
  • You contribute to the definition of AL activities in preparation for emergencies
  • You contribute to the preparation of HI programs for the implementation of emergency Atlas projects (REACT)

REQUIRED PROFILE:

  • You have experience in humanitarian project management in an emergency context
  • You have management experience
  • You are able to work under pressure
  • You have mastered project engineering (project cycle, assembly and monitoring tools);
  • You have the ability to unite a team, you have a sense of initiative and humor
  • You have good organizational skills, ability to formalize tools and procedures; good writing skills in both French and English.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have reporting and representation capabilities
  • You are fluent in English and French

ACCESSIBILITY OF THE WORKPLACE:

The premises are easily accessible by public transport (bus, metro). A car park and a bicycle park are also available. Within the building, access ramps and elevators guarantee better circulation. All workstations are located in Open Space but boxes are available on each floor to work in peace if necessary. The workspace is very bright.
