Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights against hunger worldwide. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been its identity for over 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, particularly during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Mission :
Reporting to the Deputy Country Program Director, you will ensure the quality, relevance and technical innovation of the SAME strategy and interventions on the mission, in compliance with ACF and international standards and national policies.
Your missions will be as follows:
– Contribute to the definition of the country strategy, and to the definition of the strategy and positioning of the SAME technical department;
– Coordinate the identification of needs and the formulation of project proposals
– Support the implementation and ensure the writing of program/project reports;
– Guarantee the quality and accountability of projects;
– Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectoral coordination, technical platforms and develop sectoral partnerships;
– Promote capitalization, development, technique and research within the SAME department;
– Supervise the teams.
Profile :
You hold a higher education diploma (Bac + 5) in agronomy, ecology or in a relevant field of expertise in SAME.
You have at least 2 years of professional experience in similar functions in INGOs;
You have experience in working with state entities and local partners.
You master the techniques of needs assessment, market analysis, targeting.
You master the implementation, preparation procedures, monitoring and capitalization relating to food distributions and socio-economic integration.
You have knowledge of the compliance rules of institutional donors, BHA, SIDA, GAC, ECHO, INTPA.
You have managerial qualities allowing you to transfer your skills and knowledge.
A good level of reading, writing and speaking English would be a plus.
Conditions of employment
12-month fixed-term contract under French or Congolese labor law
Start date: 10/09/2024
For international candidates:
Fixed-term contract under French law: 12 months
Gross monthly salary: from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on experience
Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
Per diem and monthly living expenses 973 euros (see eurocost) net, paid in the country’s currency euros net, paid in the field
Monthly context allowance: 150 euros
Child allowance: 1500 euros per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000 euros/year)
Transport and accommodation: Coverage of travel and collective accommodation
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of health contributions (CFE + supplementary health insurance) and repatriation insurance
Salary maintenance arrangements (sickness, maternity, paternity)
Leave and RnR: 25 days per year of CP and 20 RnR per year; ticket support with ceiling to go to the chosen break zone, and 215 euros flat-rate compensation per RnR
