We are interested in receiving offers from specialized service providers who can provide HEAT training (Hostile Environment Awareness Training), face-to-face, with simulations and recommendations for our teams in some of our missions in the Sahel (Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Sudan)
We want to contract a service to train our teams in countries where, for safety reasons, we have established the need for our workers to receive specialized training, including, with simulations and recommendations on personal safety. Formation known as HEAT.
The service must be provided in the countries to be defined (Mali, Niger, Mauritania or Sudan) where the provider must have the necessary infrastructure to carry out such training. HEAT trainings will be developed in the capitals of countries except for Sudan where the training will have to be in Port Sudan.
The fact that some theoretical content can be offered beforehand on an online platform or from the Action Against Hunger campus itself will be appreciated.
At the end of this workshop, we expect our staffs to :
1. Improve safety and security awareness.
2. Examine options to reduce the likelihood and impact of a safety or security incident.
3. Identify threats, vulnerabilities, actors, resources and strategies to mobilize, the factors of’ risk mitigation in general with the specificities listed below.
4. Anticipate: reduce the most common risks, prepare to manage a critical incident and communicate effectively, to support your team.
5. React : negotiate, secure travel, orient on the ground, evacuate, manage hostile behavior, practice vital first aid, manage stress…
