Focus on the Communication Service

The Communication Service consists of 8 people. The mission of its members is to develop the reputation and image of First International Emergency among the general public, by, to raise funds to give the structure more responsiveness in case of emergency, and to contribute to the attractiveness of First International Emergency with qualified human resources.

And the Editorial Communication and Media Relations Intern in all this?

As an Editorial Communication and Media Relations Trainee, you will assist the Communication department under the supervision of the/the Public Relations Officer.
You will participate in relations with French and international journalists, you will monitor the media and you will write press releases and press kits. Your role will also be to contribute to the production of editorial content (online and offline media.) including the writing of’ articles, slideshows, large formats, videos. You will participate in the layout of’outils print, the creation of graphic supports, video post-production, and will be in support of the organization of’events: management of invitations and registrations, and, relationships with service providers, logistics, monitoring/balance sheet etc. You will also accompany the service in the drafting of meeting minutes (in French and English) and participate in the life of the’association.

What you will need to get this internship

  • A Convention issued by your training organization : As such, you can justify a higher degree, Bac+4 level in press studies, communication, journalism, international relations or political science.
  • Experience: Experience working in a team, in an associative environment and/or at’international, will be valued.
  • Skills: You have very good writing and project management skills. You master the computer tools of graphic and video creation (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Publisher, Adobe Premiere) and CMS type WordPress ? That would be a great asset.
  • Qualities required: You have a proven interest in the International Solidarity sector and a knowledge of the French and international media landscape. You show’ autonomy, curiosity and creativity. You show good relational and’adaptation skills, rigor, good management of stress and priorities.
  • Languages: French and English have no secrets for you ? So much the better, these are two essential languages for this position ! Proficiency in Spanish and/or Arabic would be a plus.

PUI will propose

  • Gratification: 4,90€/hour
  • Support: Support up to 50% of the ticket and up to 60% of Restaurant Tickets (with a face value of 10€)
  • Rest: 1 RTT per month (37h/week)
