Role: MEAL Officer
Department: MEAL(Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning)
Contract duration: 12 months
Duty Station: Amman
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the MEAL coordinator in the preparation of monitoring and evaluation tools for qualitative and quantitative indicators included in the logical framework of projects.
- Collect the data necessary for selecting beneficiaries and assessing the impact of the project on the ground and maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Support the MEAL department in the monitoring of projects’ activities and the elaboration of analytical reports
- Support in the elaboration of evidenced-base evaluation for better decision-making process and learning and produce reports on the impact of the activities which will be attached to the final project’s report
- Support to the management of the archive and statistical data; maintaining an organized and accessible database.
- Accompany the project manager during field missions;
- Support in the development of new tools for promoting a sound monitoring system in AVSI Jordan
- Support MEAL and Programs department in the development of new proposals’ logical frameworks
- Prepare MEAL reports as requested by the supervisor, with high attention to detail and adherence to timely reporting.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of professional experience within MEAL sector in humanitarian and development organizations
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis (e.g. Excel)
- Good understanding of different evaluation methodologies (e.g. formative, summative, impact, etc.)
- Familiarity with tools like Kobo, ODK, or similar platforms
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
