Justification for Use:
The Associate Disability Inclusion Officer will provide support to the implementation of the disability inclusion project which includes monitoring and reporting in addition to ensuring effective mainstreaming of disability inclusion scope of work for Jordan Field Office. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Disability Inclusion Officer and in accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent will provide support to the Protection Unit as follows:

• Supports the Disability Inclusion Officer in overall Disability Inclusion programming with an objective to improve disability inclusion and protection of the rights of Palestinian refugees. As well as overall implementation of the UN Global Policy on Disability Inclusion in UNRWA.

• Promote the engagement and participation of persons with disabilities, organizations of persons with disabilities to address specific protection concerns as well as emphasize the prevention, rehabilitation, equalization of opportunities in utilizing a Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) approach.

• Lead on field level project implementation, planning, monitoring, and monthly reporting.

• Support accessibility and disability inclusion component of integrated assessment of UNRWA facilities and ensures compliance with standard operating procedures on integrated checks from a disability inclusion perspective.

• Lead on capacity building initiatives for UNRWA staff, stakeholders, and partners on disability inclusion components.

• Facilitates field-based research, baseline surveys and needs assessment to identify protection concerns facing persons with disabilities and provide appropriate recommendations. Education
• A university degree in Social Work, Sociology, or a related discipline.

Job Specific Qualifications
• You are required to have special courses in special educational services and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.

Work Experience
• You are required to have at least four years related professional experience in the area relevant to the project scope, psychosocial support services.

Languages
• Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic.

Contract Status:
Limited Duration Contract for 9 months with the possibility of further extension, subject to the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.

Benefits:
LDC Band “F” Monthly Salary JD 1,057.700 Fils. Other benefits include medical insurance. Dependency allowance is subject to eligibility.

General Information:
