WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON TO HOLD THE LEADERSHIP POSITION COUNTRY BURKINA FASO (Post based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso)

YOUR ROLE WILL BE

D’insure the leadership, development, management and coordination of CECI programming and operations in Burkina Faso, in alignment and consistency with the mission, values, and, CECI’s policies, procedures, code of conduct, theory of change and strategic priorities at the country and global level. D’ to represent CECI to government authorities and local communities as well as’ to donors and key stakeholders and partners. To consolidate the program-country vision, the implementation and management of ongoing projects as well as’au development and diversification of the portfolio of projects and programs with a view to growth and maximization of the impact of CECI at Burkina Faso.

YOU WILL BE CALLED TO

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders; and;
  • Ensure the coherence, the’alignment and the synergy of the’ set of the projects/programmes of CECI in connection with the theory of change, the strategies and the business plan of Burkina Faso’;
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development, growth of’a qualitative and diverse portfolio of projects/programmes, including also’ humanitarian assistance and voluntary cooperation;
  • Ensure the implementation of mechanisms and systems for monitoring and measuring results,’learning and development of robust’evidences demonstrating impact;
  • Develop partnerships that add value and complement the activities and skills of CECI and increase its’efficiency and’ impact;
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic, technical and financial partners by ensuring strategic management; and;
  • Assume responsibilities related to the safety and security of all personnel, volunteers and visiting persons as well as to protect the operations and property of CECI;
  • Maintain crisis management and oversee response to incidents by linking with CECI Canada, the Burkinabe government, donors and other key stakeholders; and;
  • Ensure the development of the annual budget of CECI Burkina Faso in coherence with the policies and procedures of the’organisation according to internal standards;
  • Assume the management of the personnel under his responsibility, as well as’a comprehensive supervision of all resources in the country, in accordance with the CECI performance standards;
  • Leading the’integration of CECI Burkina Faso in the process of institutional transformation towards CECI International;
  • Coordinate the establishment and facilitate the proper functioning of’an advisory committee balanced on the EFH and generational level, which is representative of civil society, and, country realities and relevant thematic areas; and;
  • Participate in and contribute to global institutional spaces and to strategic and governance discussions; and;
  • Participate in the international leadership committee as an active member.

  • Nationality Burkinabe or of a country of’West Africa;
  • Attracted by an environment of people committed to making a difference in the world; and;
  • Recognized for your engaging leadership, strong strategic thinking and diplomatic, interpersonal and intercultural skills; and;
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and to interact in a multicultural environment; and;
  • Available for occasional trips to the’international.

IF YOU OWN

  • Graduate degree in management, international development, business development, economics, agronomy and environment/climate change or other relevant social sciences;
  • Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: business development, development project management, resource mobilization and partnership development; and;
  • Proven management,’administration and leadership skills, including knowledge of financial and narrative reporting procedures; and;
  • Expertise/proven expertise in’one or the other of the priority themes of CECI: Women’s and girls’ rights, adaptation to climate change, strengthening women’s economic power, etc, inclusive governance and peacebuilding, particularly in Africa; and;
  • Demonstrated experience working with a facilitative and collaborative leadership style;
  • High analytical capacity and good knowledge of development issues, particularly in West’ Africa; and;
  • Proven knowledge and commitment to the concepts of gender and social inclusion and’ equity in the workplace; and;
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written french and intermediate english.
