OBJECTIVE: Support the implementation of WASH communication strategies through approaches to Social Change and Behavior (SBC) to increase knowledge and influence the attitudes of community members in hygiene, sanitation, waste management and domestic practices at the community level.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the execution of activities and identify indicators to monitor the activities, results and achievements of the execution of the activities of the WASH program.
- Provide support to the WASH, Programs and MERA teams for the organization and execution of evaluations and investigations on the impact of WASH activities and identify and report on limitations, difficulties or strengths of the strategy of WASH activities inside and outside medical structures, in order to strengthen the link between the communities and the project.
- Support the selection and development of quality pedagogical communication strategies for the community.
- Plan information campaigns, including goals, objectives, methods and objectives to sensitize the target population.
- Inform community members and identified risk groups, in accordance with the protocols, on matters related to WASH.
- Organize WASH promotional sessions for IMC staff.
- Identify key actors (national authorities, national NGOs, traditional healers, formal or informal authorities) to support the dissemination of health information to the target population and to be the focal point for the relationship and networking between them.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor or Bachelor of Education, teacher of any mention or careers related to the area of education
- 6 months of experience in activities related to WASH or community promotion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
- Residence in Maripa, Edo. Bolívar (or availability to relocate).
