Org. Setting and Reporting
• Supervisor:
The incumbent reports to the Deputy Director for UNRWA Affairs (Programmes) (DDUA/P).

Responsibilities
• Conducts rapid research and analysis on political, economic and other relevant areas.
• Develops, monitors and updates the D/DUA (P) workplan and action points tracker on
strategic and critical priorities, and provides management support as required.
• Supports the D/DUA (P) in liaising with government counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, the
private sector and other key stakeholders; while maintaining records of meetings.
• Supports the review and consolidation of financial and performance analysis of programmes
and projects in coordination with the Field Finance Office, Programme Support Office and
Donor Relations and Project Support Office.
• Reviews, edits, and drafts briefing notes, talking points, speeches, reports, presentations, and
other documentation to support the D/DUA(P)’s internal and external engagements.
• Provides coordination and monitoring support on interdepartmental organizational
effectiveness and efficiency initiatives, aligned with front office priorities. Supports the
development of management support systems and tools.
• Supports planning, organization and coordination of workshops and other events.
• Serves as the focal point for priority projects as designated by the D/DUA(P), including
engagements with key external stakeholders.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education
– A first university degree from an accredited educational institution in business
administration, public administration, communication or a related discipline.
Job Specific Qualifications
Work Experience
A minimum of four years of responsible and relevant work experience in public and/or private
organizations, including donor and partner relations, coordination, and engagement with
external stakeholders is required.
Languages
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

Contract Status:
Limited Duration Contract for 6 months with the possibility of further extension, subject to
the availability of funds, satisfactory performance and continuing need.
Benefits:
LDC Band “F” Monthly Salary JD 1,057.70 Other benefits include medical insurance.

General Information:
•This vacancy notice is open to internal and external candidates. Only candidates residing in
Jordan, and within commuting distance of the duty station with authorization to work in the
duty station at the time of application are eligible to apply.
