About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
The main objective of your mission will be to coordinate fundraising and ( activities, including the preparation of emergency proposals ), as well as the implementation/updating of the subsidy monitoring system to guarantee the quality and timeliness of reports, regular monitoring of indicators to ensure that projects progress as planned, and develop and maintain strong relationships with emergency donors.
In more detail you will need to :
Develop and coordinate the emergency response and the fundraising strategy to support the Deputy National Director’s program
Coordinate internal mission reports
Provide leadership in partner evaluation and monitoring
Your main goal will be to coordinate fundraising and activities, (including development of Emergency proposals) and the set-up/update of the grants tracking system in order to ensure the quality and timely reporting, the regular follow up of indicators to ensure projects are moving forward as planned, and develop and maintain strong relationships with emergency donors.
In details you will have to :
Develop and coordinate the emergency response and funding strategy in support of the Deputy Country Director Program
Coordinate the mission internal reporting
Provide Leadership on Partners assessment and follow-up
Profile :
You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of international development or humanitarian aid and you are known to lead the development efforts of new companies, including, including programme design, proposal writing and developing relationships with partners (such as DFID, USAID/OFDA/FFP and ECHO). You have worked in precarious conditions. You master the project management cycle and the associated tools.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills. You have demonstrated your ability to write and review reports under the pressure of deadlines.
You are known for your ability to work independently with a flexible and small structure.
You speak fluent french and english.
You have at least 5 years of work experience in international development or humanitarian assistance, and you are known for leading new business development efforts, including program design, proposal writing, and partner relationship development (such as DFID, USAID/OFDA/FFP and ECHO). You have previous experience working in insecure circumstances. You master Project Management Cycle and the associated tools.
You have excellent written and oral communications skills. You have demonstrated ability to write and edit reports under deadline pressure.
You are known for the ability to work independently with a flexible and small structure.
Fluent French and English.
Employment conditions
Contract/Contract: 1 to 3 months fixed-term contract of use under French law/1 to 3 months fixed term contract under French legislation
Remuneration/salary :
. Monthly gross entry salary from 2597 to 2968 euros depending on experience/Monthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968 euros upon experience
. Per diem and living expenses/Per diem and living allowance: depending on the countries affected/dependant on assigned countries
. Allocation related to the security context of the country/allowance linked to the security context of the country
. + 16% of gross monthly salary of reimbursement pension insurance for non-French /+ 16% of monthly gross salary as reimbursement of retirement insurance for non-French citizen
