About: Action Against Hunger
Created in 1979, Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization that fights hunger in the world. Its charter of humanitarian principles – independence, neutrality, non-discrimination, free and direct access to victims, professionalism, transparency – has been the basis of its identity for more than 40 years. Its mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of undernutrition, in particular during and after emergencies related to conflicts and natural disasters. Action Against Hunger coordinates its programs around 5 areas of activity: Nutrition and Health – Mental Health, Psychosocial Support and Protection – Food Safety and Ways of Existence – Water, Health, Sanitation and Hygiene – Advocacy. Mission :
Under the responsible supervision of the Communications Center, you will promote the notoriety, visibility and duty of testimony of Action contre la Faim as a humanitarian actor on the ground. The position focuses on monitoring the operational activities of the Central Africa pool (Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, CAR, DRC).
More specifically, your missions will be as follows:
Participate in the definition of the strategic priorities of the Operational Communication Pole to meet the duty of testimony of Action contre la Faim.
Acquire regional expertise and a sharpened knowledge of Action Against Hunger activities related to operations and mission advocacy.
Implement communication projects relating to the current events of the missions’Action against the Hunger.
Ensure the functional management of field communication managers in the countries monitored.
Capitalization and dissemination of operational information internally.
Contribute to the management of crisis communication when it concerns a country of intervention.
Status : Integrated Framework – 5-month full-time CSD
Location: Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis)
Remuneration: from 36K to 46euros gross annual over 13 months according to experience

Profile :
Training in communication, journalism, political science or international relations with more or less 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of media and testimonial harvesting
Experience in NGOs in the field would be a plus
Mastery of essential english
