Focus on the Operational Development and Partnerships Emergencies Service
The Emergency Department for Operational Development and Partnerships is made up of 4 people. The mission of its members is the preparation and implementation of humanitarian responses to emergencies or protracted crises, including, L’ support for the development of new programs on missions where First International Emergency is already established and prospecting and’ new financial and non-financial partnerships to support and/or expand the activities of First International Emergency.
And the Emergency Officer in all of this?
As an Emergency Officer, you will be in charge of strengthening the emergency response capacities of First International Emergency and of ORGANising the planned exploratory missions within the framework of the positioning of the’organisation on new contexts/countries.
You will carry out these missions partly at Headquarters, for the planning and’ framing phases, and partly in the field, as the person responsible at the local level for operations or for setting up mechanisms. For this purpose, your responsibilities will be as follows :
Strengthening emergency response capacity
Preparation and supervision of exploratory missions from Headquarters
Coordination of humanitarian emergency responses and/or conduct of exploratory missions as Head of Mission (in the field)
Support to operations to facilitate the absorption of newly opened missions (from Headquarters)
Participation in the strategy and development of the service

What you will need to succeed
Formation
You can justify a higher degree’ (min. Master 2 or equivalent) in a field related to humanitarian action: project management, technical training related to one of our areas of intervention, human resources management, financial management, etc.
Experience
You have at least three years of’ field experience in international NGO, in the coordination of projects. Experience in project management, in the conduct of multi-sectoral diagnostics and in safety management is essential. Have you ever held the position of Head.fe of Mission or equivalent in an international NGO? This will be highly appreciated. Have you worked with First International Emergency? It will be an undeniable asset!
Skills
You have’a practical knowledge of humanitarian programs and major institutional donors, you are able to’evolve in unstable contexts and in living conditions with very limited comfort. You have’a very good oral expression and excellent writing skills.
Qualities required
You show good relationships, ease of communication, both in writing and in oral, and you have a taste for teamwork. You demonstrate leadership and the ability to make decisions, reliability and sense of responsibility, rigor and organization, responsiveness and adaptability. You have excellent resistance to stress and an ability to work under pressure.
Languages
French and English have no secrets for you ? So much the better, these are two essential languages for this position ! If you also speak Spanish, it may be the little extra that will make a difference !

PUI will offer you
Status: Frame
Salary: 3300 EUR gross monthly over 12 months
Medical cover: 80% of the Health and Welfare mutual
Support: Support for 50% of the transport ticket and up to 60% of the Tickets Restaurant ( with a face value of 8 € )
Rest: 5 weeks of paid leave per year + 1 RTT per month ( 37h / week )
