As a major player in the social and solidarity economy, the French Red Cross manages a network of more than 600 institutions and services in the health, medico-social and training sectors. It is also the head of 12 regional institutes for health and social training.

At’international, the CRF intervenes in 16 countries alongside National Societies and 2 regional platforms (PIRAC and PIROI), on the following themes: Health and Disaster risk management.

Intervention of the CRf in the area
The Democratic Republic of Congo, the second largest country in’Africa, is home today to more than 90 million’ inhabitants. A rapidly growing population facing a protracted multisectoral crisis. The challenges are immense, both at the epidemiological level, from the’access to the’eau, to the’ sanitation and the health, that’ in terms of protection or’ food insecurity.
The French Red Cross has been working in the DRC since 1979 as part of a partnership with the Red Cross of the Democratic Republic of Congo (CRRDC). From the 2000s, the CRf has a delegation (permanent office) in Kinshasa, and leads mainly health projects in the’ex-Bandundu.
From 2018, the’organization intensifies its interventions, with Projects focused on the Prevention and Control of Infections (PCI) of diseases with epidemiological characteristics, measures of’Eau Hygiene and Sanitation (EHA) and support of staff and health centers.
The CRf intervened in the’East of the DRC on the response to the 10th Ebola epidemic for support to health structures in Prevention and Control of Medical Infections (PCI) and EHA, consolidated during the 11th outbreak with’urgency response teams, and the Covid-19 response in North and South Kivu.
Today, the CRF has a coordination’ in Bukavu, a’ base in Uvira and a liaison office in Kinshasa.

General Mission of the DMI :
Under the authority of the/the head of delegation, the logistics coordinator is responsible for :

Define the purchasing and logistics strategy in line with the delegation’s guidelines and ensure its implementation
Ensure the coordination of the CRf logistical action with other Red Cross actors and movement
Management of the logistics team
Ensure the application of the procurement and logistics procedures of the CRf as defined in the MOPI
Participate in security monitoring and ensure the implementation of rules related to the security and safety of property, data and people

Mission 6 : Ensures the monitoring of equipment
Mission 7 : Computer and telecommunication means
Mission 8 : Ensures the management of infrastructure

Mission 10 : Ensures capitalization and reporting
Mission 11 : Ensures monitoring,’assessment, accountability and’learning
Mission 12 : Participates in the’ identification of the needs and priorities of the SN
Mission 13 : Ensure the effective and dynamic management and’animation of its team

project logistician, and drivers). Is in close contact with the logistic referent of the headquarters.

The’ logistics team of the national company and participating national companies, suppliers and members of the logistics cluster.

Type of contract : CDD under French law/precarity premium paid at the end of the contract
End of year bonus’: equivalent to a 13th month at the pro-rata at the time of presence
Perdiem: daily perdiem that varies by country
Leave : 5 weeks of paid leave/year and 21 days of recovery – Ticket of’avion supported 100% by the CRf for home journey/mission for leave to 6 months
Health coverage : CFE + Mutuelle MSH (covered 100%) – 75% supported by the CRf

Qualifications & experiences
Training in logistics (type Bioforce or level of logistics license) and experience in a similar position or at least 3 years in a position of field logistician.
