- Italy – 58 sites: Italy has the highest number of World Heritage Sites, including cultural sites such as the historic centers of Rome, Florence, and Venice, as well as natural sites such as the Dolomites and Mount Etna.
- China – 56 sites: China has a diverse range of World Heritage Sites, including cultural sites such as the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and the Terracotta Army, as well as natural sites such as the Jiuzhaigou Valley and the Huangshan Mountains.
- Spain – 48 sites: Spain has a rich cultural heritage, and its World Heritage Sites include the historic centers of cities such as Toledo, Salamanca, and Córdoba, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Alhambra, the Sagrada Familia, and the Park Güell.
The number of World Heritage Sites can change over time as new sites are added and some sites are removed from the list due to various factors, such as deterioration or destruction.
