ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION: SARD is a humanitarian non-profit agency that provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and community-galvanizing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities. Established in 2013, we are an independent and non-political humanitarian non-profit agency dedicated to impartially reducing human suffering.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
SARD provides life-saving, life-sustaining, and community-galvanizing humanitarian assistance to populations affected by the Syrian conflict, supporting more than 130,000 people annually. Our 100+ team members implement first-line emergency assistance, resilience, and early recovery support in the sectors of Food Security, Non-Food Items, Shelter, WASH, Protection, and Livelihood.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Provide counselling and support services to individuals, families, and communities in need
Develop and implement plans to improve the quality of life for beneficiaries
Visiting beneficiaries, assessing their needs and gathering relevant information.
Facilitate access to resources and services to meet the needs of beneficiaries
Monitor and evaluate the progress of beneficiaries
Participate in case management reviews and other meetings as required
Prepare reports, document case activities, and maintain accurate client records
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other service providers
Participate in professional development activities to remain current with social work practices
Offering information and supporting beneficiaries and their families.
Contacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential
Turkish nationality
Ability to work in Turkey legally.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field or any other relevant fields At least 2 years of experience in I/NGOs with similar position
Good understanding of INGO/NGO and humanitarian work
Demonstrated knowledge of social work practices and principles
Good contextual knowledge of the local community and social/cultural constraints, realities, and organizational relationships. Experience working with vulnerable individuals and families
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Knowledge of Turkey’s systems, policies, and regulations
Good Command of the English Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
Kurdish is a plus.
Strong knowledge of computer applications especially MS Office and Outlook
High degree of flexibility and adaptability required
Well-developed organizational and planning skills
Having good communication and people skills.
This position will be based in Adıyaman, candidates outside of the city should be okay to relocate
