LOOKING TO HIRE COUNTING ASSISTANT FOR WINERY IN COMAYAGUA

This position is to be filled at the WFP warehouse in Comayagua. The position holder is expected to take responsibility for completing a series of activities that require some interpretation of guidelines/standard practices for both PMA and common logistics services. She can assign tasks to other support staff such as stockpiling and following up on suppliers for inclusion on a short list, among other activities. You will be expected to produce manual work, provide accurate and organized data, may also provide guidance on standard practices to other employees and counterparts in your work area.

The purpose of the position is to support the activities of receiving and dispatching food and non-food products, as well as the management and custody of inventories stored in the Comayagua Warehouse. All of the above, following the PMA rules and regulations established for such purposes, as well as the established guidelines and carrying out monitoring activities within a specific coverage area.

Job responsibilities (among others, as needed):

Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Comayagua Sub-Office and technical supervision of the Supply Chain Officer, the holder will be responsible for the following tasks:

  •  Receive and dispatch products and participate in their transformation during internal grinding operations, and detect any anomaly and notify the supervisor, to contribute to thorough and effective product management within the warehouse.
  •  Implement and maintain correct stacking of products and help periodically carry out physical inventories of stock, applying established guidelines and standards, to support compliance with internal control procedures and systems.
  •  Prepare accurate count reports, including the efficient preparation of count sheets and their distribution to relevant parties, to ensure systematic and prompt accountability of product entry, exit and warehouse storage.
  •  Supervise the cleaning of the warehouse after loading and unloading and restocking activities, to ensure that the WFP warehouse meets established standards.

Other functions inherent to the position:

  •  Use corporate systems (SAP), as well as approved official documentation (for example, waybills and/or delivery notes) that ensure accuracy in the physical count of food, including quality, in compliance with the standards established by PMA.
  •  Prepare, verify and sign warehouse and transportation documents, and maintain accurate confidential files and warehouse transaction records to ensure prompt reporting of feed movements in accordance with corporate requirements.
  •  Carry out daily inspections and prepare reports on food quality in the warehouse. Promptly detect and analyze the reasons for stock damage, and prepare warehouse loss reports that recommend appropriate solutions, to enable timely decision making.
  •  Coordination and management of crew personnel within the warehouse.
  •  Any other activity related to the position and that is required by your immediate supervisor or by the Supply Chain Officer, in support of the preparation and attention to possible emergencies that occur at the national level and in the Central American region.

EXPERIENCE:

  •  Experience of at least 2 years in warehouse management, inventory control and monitoring, use of Kardex, preferably in the food, agro-industrial, etc. sectors.
  •  Experience in managing crew personnel.
  •  Knowledge of stowage processes and desirable knowledge of pest management.
  •  Experience in monitoring various aspects of logistics operations.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  •  Use of MSOffice, especially Excel.

MINIMUM STANDARD ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Completed secondary education.

Language: Oral and written fluency in the Spanish language.

CONTRACT DURATION: 1 year, with extension depending on performance evaluation
